me asked:

Practically all my life, I’ve had issues with anxiety. When I was little, I dreaded bedtime because all these worries and fears would just overwhelm me, and I’d go into my parents room complaining that my throat was tight. When I got a little older, I became really scared of death. That passed after a few months, but since then I’ve had panic attacks(shortness of breath, shaking as if I’m cold but I’m actually just really nervous, dizziness, racing heart, tight throat and nausea) not only at night, but regularly at school and church. They’re usually triggered by something small, like a speech I have to make in class or talking to a guy I like or something that just makes me uncomfortable. Other times, there’s no reason for me to be feeling so extremely panicky. The nausea part really freaks me out, because I have an intense fear of throwing up. Besides anxiety problems, according to my doctor I have mild depression. What can I do to get all this to go away?

look up some relaxation exercises and breathing techniques. you’d be surprised how effective they can be if you take them seriously and try hard. you might also want to go see a psychologist. if your attacks are really serious, some medication might help.
