stop panic attacks

I have been having really bad panic attacks lately and they seem to happen a lot when I am at work. I just wanted some advice on how to stop panic attacks immediately without any medication. I would appreciate any of your advice because these panic attacks have been taking a toll on me and they are awful. I have prayed a lot since they started and I just want things to be better.

    I USE TO HAVE PANIC ATTACKS ALOT.I’M NOW ON MEDS AND THEY WORK GREAT BUT IN A PINCH WHAT A NURSE TAUGHT ME WAS TO TAKE 3 DEEP BREATHS EXHALING SLOWLY ON THE FIRST 2 THEN HOLD THE 3RD AND BEAR DOWN AS IF YOU ARE HAVING A BOWEL MOVEMENT. IT WORKS IF YOUR ATTACKS ARE ONLY OCCASIONAL. IF THEY ARE FREQUENT..SEE YOUR DOCTOR..IT COULD BE MORE THAN A PANIC ATTACK AS I WAS SUBSEQUENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH PULMONARY DISEASE AND LOW BLOOD OXYGEN LEVELS. GOOD LUCK.

    My name down the best of luck.
    The start may not have made things and nothing worked for anxiety which have breathing exercises which do this took months as having panic attacks and other things alot more bearable.

    I have been having panic attacks for 20 years and you are on the right track by praying. I found comfort talking to my pastor who had also suffered with panic attacks at one point in his life. This seemed to really help to know I wasn’t alone. He also helped me to learn comforting scriptures. Panic attacks are very hard to deal with and anyone that tells you to try breathing excursuses to fix them hasn’t really ever had a full blown terrifying panic attack. I am going to be honest that I haven’t really found something that eliminates the attacks. I suggest staying away from medications. I tried Paxil and it was worse than the panic attacks. When I having a panic attack I call my pastor and he prays with me and it really helps, so put your faith in God. What will happen to your praying habits once the attacks are gone? You say you started praying more when they started… Keep in mind that prayers are answered when you meet God half way. Feel free to email me sometime.
